About Me

​Dr. Monton is a professor and organizational psychologist. Her work and research focus on enhancing human potential in high-performance environments, prioritizing health, well-being, and safety while driving sustained performance. She partners with leaders, teams, and organizations to cultivate healthy organizational culture supporting individual thriving and collective excellence. She often works at the intersection of organizational psychology and high-performance sport but has also worked within other domains, including military and medicine. Her research has been presented nationally and internationally, including at the US Department of Justice and the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.​
Dr. Monton's work is informed by academic research and firsthand experience as a high-performance athlete. Prior to her graduate studies, she was a professional athlete on the Canadian Women’s National Water Polo team for over a decade, helping Canada reach the podium at six major international events, including the World Championships, Pan American Games, Commonwealth Games, and World League. After retiring from Team Canada, she earned an MA in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and worked as a clinical counselor in her hometown, Montreal.
